I participated in the I LOST IT AT THE CLUB the past two years and am in the best physical fitness shape I have been in in years. Is there room for improvement, you bet; but this was the start I needed. This was a chance for me to participate in different classes where I gained self confidence and new friends. I had often thought about taking classes but thought the class members and Instructor would not want to see an “old” woman in the class. Boy was I wrong. I was greeted with a warm smile and instructions that were easy to understand in performing the moves and stretches. As a woman in her “senior” years it was/is important to maintain our balance, and muscle tone. I LOST IT helps you attain those goals.

Having never taken advantage of classes I took Pilates, Spinning (45 minute class), Flex/Stretch Yoga, Water Arthritis, and eventually went on to Pilates Reformer. These classes were exactly what I needed to push me over the edge to start taking care of “me”. What a great time of year for I LOST IT. The holidays will be but a memory and what a great way to take care of “you”.

Over the past year and a half I have been on a personal quest for
health.  I didn't have any real health issues, but I didn't feel my
lifestyle was geared towards optimal health.  Like many I had a hard
time making sense of all the conflicting information out there.  After
reading many different books, intense online research and last but not least Chris Johnson's seminar which was included for I LOST IT AT THE CLUB participants, I believe I have finally come to grips with what is right for me and my body.

I have been fasting annually for 10 days or more every year for the last 20 years and that has allowed me to maintain a reasonable weight and general good health, but in spite of what I thought was a relatively healthy diet and regular exercise I wasn't able to permanently shed those extra pounds.  When I signed up for last winter's I LOST IT AT THE CLUB, I carrying around 30 more pounds than I wanted.  Being a competitive spirit, I sought to lose as much weight as I could in those 8 weeks.  I lost almost 20 pounds in that time, and now, 9 months later, I am still at the same weight I was when I weighed in at the end of the program.  I am looking forward to participating again this January and getting rid of the last 10 pounds I have to lose to get to my ideal weight.
